Bingham Teems with Talent!

Talented young actress, Sian Ashburn, from Fosters Lane in Bingham, has beaten off strong competition from hundreds of other youngsters from Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire, to secure a coveted role in the most eagerly awaited musical visiting Lincoln Theatre Royal. Sian will play the lead juvenile role of Tinker Bell when ABD’s professional production of “Peter Pan” flies in to The Theatre Royal this February during half term. The 10 year old is excited to be appearing alongside ABD Productions’ professional cast and is enjoying getting to grips with the portrayal of the feisty fairy, Peter Pan’s friend. “At first Tinker Bell must be sulky and jealous of Peter’s new friends, the Darling children, but show great courage and loyalty when put to the test. I’m delighted with Sian’s ability, at such a young age, to deal with the part as I have written it!” says writer/director Anne Dalton. A gifted all round performer, Sian attends Carnarvon Primary School, Bingham School of Dance and travels monthly to the Urdang Academy in London to study Performing Arts. Other students performing from the Bingham area are Lauren Baker, Charlie Fleet, Erin Lever, Libby Taylor and Cerys Woollacott. Based on the much loved classic by J.M.Barrie, the musical is a swashbuckling romp from start to finish, fast paced and colourful with energetic fights and flying. Apart from Peter Pan, The Darlings, Captain Hook, his sidekick Smee, the pirate crew of the Jolly Roger, Indians and Lost Boys, there are some exciting episodes from Barrie’s original story introducing new friends.
