This week saw a French Language Teacher from Bingham, Jacqueline Arkley, honoured with the much acclaimed La Jolie Ronde Licensee of the Year Award. To top this, Jacqueline has also achieved 25 years offering her classes and is the longest standing La Jolie Ronde teacher in the company’s history.
Jacqueline, together with her tutor, teaches extra-curriculum French classes to over 130 local children aged 3-11 with lessons taking place in 5 local primary schools and several local nurseries in and around the Bingham area.
General Manager for La Jolie Ronde Steve Baker said, “Jacqueline was chosen because she is truly inspirational and her incredible commitment, dedication and drive over the last 25 years has meant so many local children have benefited. She has consistently worked hard to build up what is now a successful and thriving business. Jacqueline has a great rapport with her pupils and her lessons contain plenty of variety. It is evident to see her pupils are happy, enthusiastic and keen to show off their knowledge. Due to Jacqueline’s extensive knowledge of our programme and resources, she regularly helps Head Office with updating and developing new programmes” he added.
Jacqueline, who lives in Radcliffe-on-Trent, was born in Brittany and travelled around Europe for many years to improve her English. It was during her travels she met her now husband Peter. Jacqueline says “I travelled many years between France and England to visit Peter then one day just decided to jump the Channel to be with him. Peter was going to French classes in the evening and his French teacher told him how La Jolie Ronde were looking for a French speaker to take over the Bingham classes and as they say the rest is history!”
Jacqueline now heads one of the most successful and thriving businesses under the license of the renowned and award-winning La Jolie Ronde Languages for Children network.
On finding out that she had won this award Jacqueline said “I am absolutely overwhelmed to have been presented with this award. I would never have gained this award without the help of my tutor and the support of all the parents who put their trust in me to deliver high quality French classes to their children. All of my pupils are brilliant and the sessions are lots of fun and it’s so great to see all the children making such progress. It is a real honour to receive this award and it means a lot that the hard work I have put in to developing my business has been recognised”, she added
