Nottinghamshire Police has advised people that there have been a number of fraud devices found on cash machines in the Central Avenue, West Bridgford area over the last few weeks, all with similar mechanisms.
The offenders place a strip over the front of the machine where you enter your card; this often contains a camera to record your pin number. Please have a close look at the cash machine before entering your card and check that the plastic panel is fixed securely to the machine. This panel will look very similar to the normal cash machine front panel and may be made from metal or plastic.
When using the machine, cover the key pad with your hand to stop your pin number being recorded or seen by anyone nearby.
There hasn’t been any reports, that we know of, in Bingham, but it always best to keep a look out.
If you have any suspicions when using the machines, please call the police immediately on 101, or in an emergency call 999.
