Skateboarding, drama, photography and more added to list of activities at YMCA Camp Williams!

At YMCA Camp Williams and YMCA day camps children and young people are provided with opportunities to form their own values, learning and identity through positive experiences. Nottinghamshire YMCA believes that children and young people with access to these developmental assets will make healthier choices as they grow into adults. Camp Williams is the latest addition to Nottinghamshire YMCA’s school holiday activity programme. It’s experience focused and adventure driven. All children will take part in camp rallys, sports, swimming, games and crafts. Plus, 8 – 15 year olds will take part in skills clinics. The full list of skills clinics for Summer 2016 has just been released and it is pretty impressive: Basketball – Drama & theatre – Film & photography – Skateboarding – Archery – Climbing – Craft works – Dance – Football – Game Design – Music – Paddle Sports – Science – Trampolining – Wildlife & wilderness “We’ve chosen these skills clinics so that kids can choose things that they really want to get involved with – there’s something for everyone. We get a lot of feedback from parents who appreciate that we don’t simply offer sports based activities like at a lot of other holiday clubs. We’re excited to offer something that’s actually really cool.” – Gavin Barker, Outdoor Education and Adventure Services Manager Programme Leaders are responsible for the design and delivery of the skills clinics which will see campers improving their chosen skills throughout the week. More about YMCA Camp Williams and YMCA day camps YMCA Camp Williams is based at The Nottingham Emmanuel School in West Bridgford. The site is transformed during...
