Bingham Entrepreneur Launches Log Cabin and Home Offices Website

Bingham Entrepreneur Launches Log Cabin Website as Home Worker Numbers Reach New High Bingham businessman Steven Turner has today launched a new website selling log cabins and home garden offices. Steven noticed that there has been a big rise in the number of people in Bingham as well as UK-wide who are working from home, either full-time or part-time. According to the Guardian website, the proportion of people working from home has reached a record high of 13.9% of all those in work in the UK! Steven commented, “Whereas some people might just set their home office up in a bedroom or living room, others like to get outside the house so they separate their home and work life. Log cabin offices can be set-up quickly and at a low cost even in the smallest garden. They can easily be serviced with a power extension cable and a wifi connection” The website address is www.uniquelogcabins.co.uk  – here you can find a great range of garden offices as well as log cabins and summerhouses to use for leisure purposes. Log Cabin Prices Log cabin prices start from as low as £1,000 although the largest garden office has a price tag of nearly £14,000. For that money you get a building that is 5m by 6m and has lockable doors, windows and soundproofing. Even the top-of-the-range log cabin offices have a much lower cost than the smallest built extension to your home. In nearly all cases, log cabins do not require planning permission and can be erected in a few days either using the professional Unique Log Cabins installation team on...

Help us provide better broadband for business

Help us provide better broadband for business

Businesses are being asked to give their views on local broadband services and how they use them in a new survey, which will help influence the type of support provided to firms in the future.  The Better Broadband for Nottinghamshire (BBfN) programme is being delivered by Nottinghamshire County Council and BT and is on course to ensure 97% of the county’s homes and businesses have access to superfast broadband by 2018. The aim of BBfN is to provide an improved digital infrastructure by developing a fibre-based broadband network to support the growth of Nottinghamshire businesses. Now the County Council is asking businesses how they use the internet and how important better connectivity is to them so that future support can be tailored to their needs. The short survey can be completed on-line at: www.surveymonkey.com/r/broadband-business-survey Councillor Roy Allan, Vice-Chair of the Economic Development Committee at Nottinghamshire County Council, said: “Access to superfast broadband can support business growth, unlock economic opportunities and attract investment. I am proud that Nottinghamshire is well set to become one of the best connected areas in the entire country. “So that we can further support businesses to access the opportunities that this new digital infrastructure provides, we need to better understand how they use the internet and what the potential barriers are to them to getting the best out of it.” Meanwhile, small businesses from across Nottinghamshire are being reminded that they have the chance to get discounts of up to £3,000 off the cost of supercharging their broadband speed. The Connection Voucher Scheme gives businesses money off the cost of installing superfast broadband and access speeds of...
Belvoir Lettings Bingham Snowdon charity walk

Belvoir Lettings Bingham Snowdon charity walk

On Sunday 26th July 2015 8 members of staff from Belvoir Lettings Melton Mowbray and Bingham climbed the beautiful heights of Mount Snowdon. The team ranged in age from 15 to 50-something and they had to battle through gale force winds, torrential rain, hail and fog to reach the summit.  It was a real team effort as some of the group had never done any hill walking before (and possibly never will again!)  But they did it! Raising money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, donations have been gratefully received and are still coming in.  The grand total currently stands at over £1,000. For more information, click...
